San Vigilio di Marebbe is located in lower Gadertal - one of the five Ladin valleys of the Dolomites. It is surrounded by thick conifer forests, meadows, hilly alpine pastures, and majestic peaks, and still harbors simple and genuine mountain traditions.
The language spoken in the valley is Ladin, the third official language of the province.

This peaceful and relaxing village in the heart of the Dolomites possesses all of the most important tourism infrastructures, and a wide selection of tracks, paths, and fixed-aid climbing routes that start at the bottom of the valley and reach up to the highest peaks of the Dolomites: here there is a bit of everything for everyone.

This skiing area, the largest in all of South Tyrol, offers 31 modern ski-lifts, and over 100 km of perfectly prepared slopes that satisfy the demands of all skiers, whether experts or beginners.
